Our City Street Sweeper follows a routine schedule. If you'd like to request a specific area be swept, report it to the Service Center, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at (903)654-4893.
Our city crews work year round maintaining proper drainage in our city right of ways and creeks. Drainage problems in storm drains, city right of ways and creeks may be reported to the Service Center at (903)654-4893 Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Do you want to get rid of old tree limbs? Brush pick-up service is scheduled as follows: If you live North of 2nd Ave, pick-up will be between the 1st & 15th of each month. If you live South of 2nd Ave, pick-up will be between the 16th & 30th of each month. Brush pick up includes 10 cubic yards, once monthly, with overage billed at $8.00 per cubic yard.
Citizens must CALL (903)654-4884 to schedule a pick up NO LATER THAN the week before the scheduled pick-up for the timeliest retrieval of brush.

The City has a year round leaf recycling program. Leaves may be scheduled for Wednesday pick up by calling 903.654.4889 or Allied Waste at 903.874.8717 or you may bring leaves in bags to the Service Center at 620 South 12th Street from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

After December 25th each year, bring your Christmas trees to the Service Center for recycling.

A truck spot is an 8 cubic yard city dump trailer available for public use. Trailers are available on Friday for the weekend. The trailers are delivered late afternoon, picked up first thing Monday morning and taken to the landfill. The trailers may be utilized for hauling off trash and debris. Tires, roof shingles, paint, batteries and freon are not allowed in the trailer.
The cost for a trailer rental for the weekend is $40.00. A trailer can be reserved through the Public Works Office located at the Government Center, 200 N. 12th St., Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on a first-come basis. The user must sign a “Spot Trailer Placement Agreement” and must properly load the trailer, no higher than the top of the guardrail, to prevent debris from blowing off. Crews work year round providing maintenance and upkeep of Oakwood, Woodland, and Modrell Cemeteries. These duties primarily consist of mowing, trimming and repair necessary to maintain the appearance of the property. Perpetual care is provided via private vendors. Please call 903.654.4860 for City Sexton services including: sale of all City owned cemetery lots; coordinating and scheduling of all burials; issuance of all burial permits; and locating loved ones. Maintenance concerns may be reported to 903.654.4884, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Cemetery gates are open and close at dusk and dawn.
